Middle Street Meadow 2008 - 2020

This gallery illustrates the construction and establishment of the Harnham Middle Street Meadow flood defences, including the excavation of a new pond habitat to ameliorate the effects of run-off from the Churchfields Industrial Estate into the River Nadder.
This work forms part of the Harnham Flood Defence Scheme near Salisbury which has been designed to provide flood protection for around 400 local properties up to a 1 in 200 year flood event.  This website is an ongoing project.
