defense work has started in the Meadow,

- Flood
defense work continues in the meadow. Fences erected and all access
to the river is blocked. The line of the new flood defense is marked
out and some excavation in the area of the filter bed has begun.

3rd Oct - There will be an opportunity to see the work
going on this Friday when a guided walk will take place at 4pm.
Thu
6th Nov - EA newsletter says that access to the closed
areas of the meadow will be next spring, depending on winter weather.
