Middle Street Meadow

Middle Street Meadow - Friends page

A ‘Friends’ group has been formed to help care for the meadow and to carry out some management tasks. The group is supported by Salisbury City Council Parks Department.

Monday 13th February the friends group will be meeting in the meadow to assist a group from the Richmond Fellowship who are coming to help clear some of the trees around the pond. This will open up the view of the pond which is largely hidden. Especially in summer.

We also hope to remove some of the trees from the copse on the south side of the pond. These are shading out the pathways and not allowing them to dry out. This causes excessive wear on the pathways.

We wellcome all volunteers who wish to help in this work so if you need some exercise and have time to spare, please come along.

All tools and protective clothing will be supplied, but please wear suitable clothing and footwear to suit the weather

Please use the contact page if you wish to come

Registration for volunteer tasks:
The maximum number for volunteer tasks is 12 so if you would like to come along please telephone- 01722 334209 and leave your name and telephone number. This is required for insurance cover. You will only be contacted if the task is oversubscribed.
